The Olathe School District recently received the highest status level possible for its fiscal year 2021 special education services.
The Kansas State Department of Education gave the district a “meets requirements” level of determination through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act State Performance Plan Report for the time period, according to a press release.
The district complied with all State Performance Plan district-level indicators to achieve the determination — due to receiving the honor, the district is eligible for “fiscal and program rewards.”
“Receiving the highest level of determination paired with the independent Special Education study results confirms that the work our educators are doing is top-notch,” executive director of special services Anjanette Tolman stated in a press release. “While this is an incredible accomplishment for our staff, we will never stop striving to provide the best services we can for all of our students.”
